Welcome! I'm so glad you're here, and I'm honored to be part of your wedding day.
Below you'll find my standard Service Agreement, which outlines everything we discussed—scope of services, payment terms, and the legal details that protect us both. Please take a moment to read through it carefully.
When you're ready:

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Service Description.
The Ceremony Co. agrees to provide officiating services for your elopement or micro-wedding at the agreed-upon date, time, and location. This includes a customized ceremony, coordination with you prior to the event, and legal solemnization of your marriage. We are not a wedding planner or day-of coordinator for other vendors you may choose to hire separately (e.g., photographer, florist).
2. Client Responsibilities.
You (The Clients) agree to:
Provide a valid, unexpired marriage license (Tennessee or Georgia, depending on your ceremony location) and government ID to the officiant prior to the ceremony. The ceremony will not be performed without a valid license.
Ensure you and your guests adhere to all rules and regulations of your chosen venue or location (e.g., park permits, private property permissions).
Communicate any changes to the ceremony time or location as early as possible.
Provide accurate information (names, dates, location) for all legal documents.
Ensure that you and your guests conduct themselves respectfully. The Officiant reserves the right to terminate the ceremony if any behavior becomes disruptive or unsafe.
3. Payment & Fees.
A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required to book your date and secure the officiant's time.
The final balance is due 7 days prior to the ceremony date.
Travel fees (if applicable) will be quoted separately and are due with the final balance
Last-Minute Booking Fee:
For ceremonies booked with less than 14 days' notice, a $150 rush fee will be added to the package price. This fee covers the expedited planning timeline and prioritization of your date.
4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy.
Due to the nature of reserving a specific date and time, all payments are non-refundable.
If you cancel or do not show up for your ceremony, you forfeit all monies paid.
We strongly recommend purchasing event insurance for your protection.
For the purposes of this agreement, "cancellation" means any notice of intent not to proceed with services, regardless of reason.
5. Rescheduling
Rescheduling is offered at the Officiant's discretion and is subject to availability. A rescheduling fee of $75 will apply if the change is requested less than 30 days before the original ceremony date. Your retainer may be transferred to the new date once.
6. Officiant Substitution.
In the event of the Officiant's incapacitating illness or emergency, we will make every effort to provide a qualified substitute officiant. If a substitute is not available, all payments made will be refunded. This is the limit of our liability.
7. Rental Items.
Any items rented from The Ceremony Co., including but not limited to bouquets, are to be treated with care and returned at the conclusion of the event. The Client is financially responsible for any loss or irreparable damage (including, but not limited to, broken stems, missing elements, or stains) to rented items. A replacement fee of the full retail cost of the item plus a 20% sourcing fee will be charged for any lost or damaged rental item. This fee will be automatically charged to the card on file.
The Client hereby authorizes The Ceremony Co. to automatically charge the credit card on file for any applicable damage or replacement fees. In the event a charge is declined or returned, the card will be re-charged until the payment is fully processed.
8. Force Majeure.
We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, government orders, venue closure, natural disaster). In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule to a mutually agreed-upon date. If rescheduling is not possible, a credit for future services will be issued. No cash refunds will be given for force majeure cancellations.
9. Liability Release.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Ceremony Co., its owners, and agents from any and all liability, claims, damages, or lawsuits (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your participation in the event or the conduct of your guests.
10. Media Release.
You grant The Ceremony Co. the irrevocable right to use photographs and videos from your ceremony for commercial purposes (website, social media, marketing). If you prefer not to have your images shared, please notify us in writing prior to the ceremony.
11. Governing Law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where the ceremony takes place (Tennessee or Georgia). Any disputes shall be resolved in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
12. Entire Agreement
This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions, agreements, or representations, whether written or oral. No modification of this agreement shall be binding unless signed by both parties.
